Dr. Tan Pui Wen is a thoracic radiologist currently practising at Sarawak General Hospital. She obtained her Medical Degree from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) and subsequently completed her Master of Radiology (Dr.Rad) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She recently completed subspecialty training under the Ministry of Health Malaysia, complemented by a one-year fellowship in Thoracic Imaging at Toronto General Hospital, University Health Network, Canada.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Tan is actively involved in radiology education, research, and scholarly publications, and regularly participates in academic and professional conferences. She serves as a core member of the Lung Cancer Expert Working Group, contributing to Malaysia’s National Lung Health Initiative (LHI). Through her educational and advocacy efforts, she regularly delivers talks and workshops nationwide to promote awareness and advance the implementation of lung cancer screening in Malaysia. She is actively exploring the applications of artificial intelligence in chest imaging, particularly in lung cancer detection and TB screening.
